Hi. Welcome to STYLE SCOUT with Bri Holloway. I'm your host Bri and I'm always looking for a sophisticated twist on the trend. First the trend this week is TEMPTUOUS TWEED
It's exciting to see this trend back in the spotlight. Who doesn't love a good tweed? It's fun and playful. The style possibilities are endless.
Coco Chanel is probably best known for making tweed fashionable. In the 1920s, inspired by a fishing trip she had taken with Duke of Westminster to Scotland the designer began featuring tweed in her collections. Of course, tweed is now forever synonymous with the house of Chanel.
Most recently, BALMAIN featured tweed in their pre-fall collection. Shifting to a focus on daywear and heavenly inspired by the 80s the collection featured bold, bright, exuberant tweeds in a rainbow of colors.
For a sophisticated twist on the trend pair a tweed Giambattista Vali coat, like the one is seen here with Haider Ackerman leggings. By combining the leather legging with the coat, you toughen up the overall feel of this look while remaining chic.
Here I've combined a tweed Alexander McQueen dress and jacket with tweed Rocha ballet flats for fun pulled together look.
Thanks for joining me on STYLE SCOUT and until next time I'm always looking for a sophisticated twist on the trend.
